Private Event Terms and Conditions

By booking or attending a private event at Sip & Style Co, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

General

  1. These Terms and Conditions apply to all private events hosted by Sip & Style Co ("we," "us," or "our"). By booking an event, you ("the Guest") agree to these terms.
  2. We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.

Bookings and Payments

Payment by invoice:

  1. A 50% deposit of the total booking amount is required to secure your booking. 
  2. The remaining balance must be paid no later than seven (7) days prior to the event date.

Individual payments via booking link:

  1. If you want your guests to pay separately we can accommodate this by providing a private event link that outlines the details of the event and enables guests to purchase tickets individually.
  2. We require a deposit of $300 to facilitate this, the deposit will then be refunded if all estimated guests purchase their tickets. 
  3. If less than the estimated guests purchase tickets the difference in the ticket price will be deducted from the deposit. 
  4. The refund will be processed 48 hours after your masterclass booking.
  5. Failure to make payment by the due date may result in the cancellation of your booking.

Event Details

Event times and dates are subject to availability and will be confirmed upon receipt of the deposit.

You must provide final guest numbers and any special requirements (e.g., dietary or accessibility needs) no later than 10 business days before the event.

We reserve the right to refuse entry or service to any guest behaving inappropriately or in breach of these Terms and Conditions.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing via email to hello@sipandstyleco.com.

If you cancel the event:

  1. More than 7 days before the event date, any payments made (excluding the deposit) will be refunded.
  2. Less than 7 days before the event date, no payments made (excluding the deposit) will be refunded in the form of a credit note.
  3. If we are unable to host the event due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters or government restrictions), we will work with you to reschedule or offer a refund at our discretion.

Venue and Guest Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring all guests comply with our policies, including but not limited to health and safety regulations, responsible consumption of alcohol and proper use of the venue.

Any damage caused to our property during the event will be the financial responsibility of the Guest.

The venue must be vacated by the agreed-upon time. Additional charges may apply for overtime.

Behaviour

All Guests are expected to uphold and encourage safe and respectful behaviour toward fellow guests, our team, and visitors. This includes:

  1. Being polite, kind, and courteous to others.
  2. Using inclusive, respectful language.
  3. Respecting others' privacy and personal space.
  4. Respecting our property.
  5. Following instructions from our team and avoiding actions that hinder others' experiences.
  6. Arriving at least 15 minutes before the start of your session.
  7. Guests engaging in rude, offensive, obscene, threatening, or profane behaviour—including inappropriate language, nudity, physical contact, or gestures—will be denied entry or asked to leave the studio at the sole discretion of our team.
  8. Our team will also foster a safe and respectful environment by:
  9. Being polite, kind, and courteous to all.
  10. Using inclusive, respectful language.
  11. Respecting others' privacy.
  12. Providing fair, respectful, and appropriate guidance.
  13. Monitoring responsible alcohol consumption.

Catering

We partner with local catering companies, so the contents of our Grazing Boxes may vary by studio. These boxes may contain allergens, including: peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, sesame seeds, fish, shellfish, soy, lupin, and wheat.

If you have dietary requirements, food intolerances, or allergies, please inform us during the booking process or before the event to help us coordinate with our vendors.

While we will do our best to accommodate your needs and minimise cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee the food will be completely allergen-free. If medical assistance is required during the event, we may share the information you provided with emergency personnel.

You acknowledge and accept that consuming the provided food is at your own risk, and we will not be liable for any allergic reactions or health issues that may occur.

Liability

We will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred by you or your guests during the event unless caused by our gross negligence.

You agree to indemnify us against any claims arising from your actions or guests during the event.

Photography and Media

We may take photographs or videos during events for promotional purposes. By attending the event, you consent to your likeness being used in our marketing materials. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify our staff in advance.

Our friendly team will notify you and your guests at the beginning of a class if photos or videos will be captured by us during the booking, whereby guests may opt out of being filmed. 

Photos and videos of the masterclass may be published or used in promotional material. 

You or your guests may withdraw consent at any time and request for images to be removed. This will be done as soon as practical (but no later than 3 business days from the date of the request).

We ask that any requests for removal of photos be sent via email to hello@sipandstyleco.com with the subject line ‘photo removal request’.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Tasmania. 

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hobart, Tasmania.

By booking a private event with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
