How Sip & Style Co Started

Have you ever been late to an event and stared at the mirror after doing your makeup or hair questioning why it looks nothing like the tutorial you just followed? Well we know your pain and frustration- that’s why we created Sip & Style Co.

We are Australia’s first interactive masterclass event that combines hair and beauty with entertainment. We turned this frustration of a “one size fits all” approach to online beauty tutorials and created an inclusive, interactive and personalised experience that empowers.

Our approach is simple, we want to make beauty a fun, empowering and interactive experience to share with friends. We want you to feel confident to try new looks, experiment with new products and break up with your beauty boundaries or “beauty rules”.

Our core value is centred on inclusivity and personalisation of your beauty experience. The marketing from many beauty retailers and brands is often a “one size fits all” approach to beauty. This often doesn’t resonate, beauty is incredibly personal, from the diversity in the shades of your skin tones, the different face and eye shapes to your personal preferences in beauty and style.

We pride ourselves on continual growth and prioritise education for our Masterstylists and our retail and bar staff.

Meet the Team behind Sip & Style Co

Ari Ahearne

Co-Founder

Ari Ahearne, a self-confessed beauty nerd, has always been captivated by the transformative power of beauty, the power of a bold red lip is unmatched! Her love for beauty began in high school watching YouTube tutorials and she loved the communities they created, a true sense of belonging with a shared passion for all things beauty.

Though she initially set this passion aside to pursue a law degree, it resurfaced with the creation of Sip & Style Co. Ari launched Sip & Style Co in her final year of a combined Law and Psychological Science degree, driven by the desire to connect people through a fun an interactive experience.

Jake Doran

Co-Founder

Jake Doran, a professional athlete for Cricket Tasmania, might not be the first person you'd expect behind a beauty company, but his teamwork and strong work ethic make him a perfect fit. Bringing visions to life, Jake handles everything from custom joinery and website design to even sewing Ari’s Sip & Style Co dresses. His passion lies in enhancing the customer experience, constantly striving to improve both in-store and online interactions.

We created an interactive masterclass experience where you can learn how to perfect a salon-quality hairstyle or master a smokey eye with the help of a master stylist.

Sip & Style Co hosted a "Beauty Bash" event where we mixed cricket with makeup and hair. This saw a elevated beauty experience inside of the Ricky Ponting room showcasing our brands, mini demos and of course the BBL cricket match.
